Self-catering
holiday cottage accommodation in the Peak District, Derbyshire
To
most people, the Peak District means Derbyshire. However, the
first of Britain's National Parks extends into the surrounding
counties of Yorkshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. Ask visitors
what the Peak District looks like and they will describe rough
hillsides with rocky outcrops where sheep wander at will, dry stone
walls, tumbling brooks, lakes, reservoirs, waterfalls, and caves -
some of which are large enough to sail a boat through. Stone is
the star performer in the Peak District - in white limestone, grit and
shale. It graces the landscape and buildings.
There
is something for everyone in the Peak District. Nature, history,
legend and commercialism combine to provide an ideal holiday
destination for all ages.
